Cuyamaca Water District was established in May, 1982 as a means to purchase an existing, privately owned, local water utility company

Acquisition of the utility company was completed in October, 1982

The District is a California Water District operating under the rules and guidelines of Water Code, section 34000-38501

The District serves approximately 200 people within 260.55 acres that border Highway 79 along the north shore of Lake Cuyamaca

District revenue comes from flat rate charges for water used by the local residents and businesses
